James Cameron’s Avatar – Social Media & Trailer!

Avatar, the film everyone’s talking about has integrated itself into the world of Social Media to aid its marketing campaign ahead of its December 18th Launch!

The Sci-Fi epic is set to hit the big screen on December 18th, but before then their online marketing campaign is well and truly underway!

Firstly, their Twitter account is now available to follow, @officialavatar – Tweeting all things avatar!

They have also released a fantastic interactive trailer for people to download, giving insights into the creation, development and launch of the mammoth film as well as all of the current trailers on offer!

I know i’m ready for the release of this film, there’s no doubt it’s going to be a revolutionary masterpiece – for all of you interested in the trailers, check this one out. It rocks!

Xbox Live to feature Facebook and Twitter

For all you social media heads out there, you’ll be glad to know that the Social Media update to your Xbox Live dashboard is well and truly on its way, without too much of a wait!xboxlive_narrowweb__300x488,2

On November the 17th, Xbox live users will receive their free dashboard upgrade which will integrate Twitter, Facebook, Last FM and other social media platforms into their Xbox live functionality.

This update is also set to unclude a new Zune Video area which enhances the current video marketplace, allowing users to stream media once purchased instead of having to wait for the download.

If your under 18, you’re going to have to wait for a parental control patch, as there are currently none with the new update – however, Microsoft are currently working on getting these finished so that users under 18 will be able to Tweet freely then.

Twitter ‘Re Tweet’ UI upgrade in Beta – First look!

Having just logged into Twitter, i noticed that I’d been selected to try out the new Re Tweet interface tool! How cool!

It’s currently simply just a button next to the ‘reply’ button, once clicked it asks if you’d like to ‘retweet to your followers?’ with a big ‘Yes’ button available.

Quite cool and now makes Re Tweets an official part of Twitters functionality!
