Last para does it for me - It will be interesting to see the extent marketers will be able to exploit the opportunity to get specifically targeted adverts or promos straight into the customer’s hands (mobile).  I think the facilities to record and analyse customers movements on a mass basis will be the biggest barrier to this, followed by the customers rights (its inevitable that some people may view this as invasion of privacy - clearly the t&amp;cs of Foursquare will have to address this) - the idea that if you follow a brand online (fb or twit) and you are &#039;checked in&#039; to foursquare walking round a town centre that that brand can send you personalised ad/promos when you pass close to their store is immensely powerful - its like a customer proximity alert pulling the customer in store.  I can see many opportunities for multi-nationals to benefit if rolled out worldwide.</description>
